Amy’s core values and beliefs about therapy rely on developing a strong, authentic, and therapeutic relationship where the individual is treated with dignity and respect.   Amy’s down to earth approach to counseling and welcoming personality helps the person to feel safe and valued, allowing their true self to emerge in order for positive change to occur.  Intervention strategies are client-driven and relationship focused.

Amy has successfully helped many children and adults with a wide-range of struggles including depression, anxiety, ADHD, family and relationship conflicts, anger management, and low self-esteem.  Amy loves working collaboratively with people and is an active participant in the session, cheering on the person as they strive towards improving the quality of his or her life.  Amy uses a strengths-based approach to counseling that emphasizes hope, resiliency, and optimism in finding solutions to recover from adversity.  Amy firmly believes that each child, adult, and family holds the key to their own meaningful and personal transformation.
